Project 1
The object I chose to design was a Waterloo records pin I wear from my visit to the famous record store in Austin Texas. In terms of size and shape, I feel really good about how close my final 3D print was to the design. If I were to change or improve anything, I would pay a little more attention to the details on the top circle of the pin with the design. Each thin black circle is ever so slightly above the flat surface, and I did not realize this when designing my print in Fusion, so perhaps this could be a fun challenge to improve the design. I found Fusion to be really challenging for me, since I have never worked in any programs like it before, so the pin was not my first choice for a design - originally I tried to do a lego brick, which had a lot of difficult details and layers that I struggled to measure and space out right in the program. The pin was a more realistic object for me to tackle as a beginner, and gave me practice with the extrusion tool...
